Oh how I love this series of tasty buffalo wing recipes that you can pretty much make anything taste better with buffalo wing sauce. Now if you didn’t think you couldn’t make a Cheese Steak Sandwich better, I have news for you, YOU CAN! All you need to do is “Buffalize” it with your favorite wing sauce and a few other steps and you practically have a sandwich that has such a different taste twist on it. It’s so easy even a ________ can do it (fill in the blank, you can practically put any noun in there). On with the recipe.
1 tbsp. oil 1 large onion, thinly sliced 1 (12 oz.) pkg. all beef sandwich steaks, cut into wide strips 1/2 cup FRANKS® RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce 8 slices provolone or American cheese 4 (6 inch) hoagie rolls, split
- HEAT oil in large skillet over high heat. Saute onion until tender. Transfer to dish.
- ADD beef steaks to same skillet. Saute about 4 min. Drain well. Stir in Buffalo Wings Sauce; heat through.
- DIVIDE onion and steaks evenly among hoagie rolls. Top each sandwich with 2 slices cheese.
- CLOSE rolls. Place on baking sheet. Heat in 400 degree oven about 5
min. until cheese melts. Cut in half to serve.
To add some more spice to the sandwich, using pepper jack cheese is always a nice little addition.
