Blogging from Whistler, CA tonight I bring you a true Canadian beer, Granville Island Brewing Cypress Honey Lager. After 4.5 hours of driving (0.5 waiting at the border), I was ready for some refreshment. That happened to come in the form of Granville’s Cypress Honey Lager. Granville has a good history here… one bourne of a simple neighborhood brewery that made great beer and folks happened to reward them by buying it and loving it.
Tonight i was able to try this wonderful beer in two ways… first, out of the tap and second, out of the can. I have to say that out of the tap was definitely better, but out of the can wasn’t anything to complain about either. Unlike MacTarnahan’s Oregon Honey Beer, this beer actually has a honey taste to it. Subtle enough that you have to think about it but not subtle enought to not know it is there.
A smooth beer with just the right sweetness that was especially good at Citta’s (in Whistler) tonight.
JBB6 Rating: Will Buy Again
