The other day I got an email from Wes, the owner of Tailgate Beer and he needed our address because he had a new brew he wanted me to try out and of course I had no problem with that.  I shot the address over to him through the WWW and he shot me two bottles through the UPS.  The brew arrived that following week, it was so new labels were not even on the bottle.  Being a blonde lover I couldn’t wait to try it out and thanked Wes and the Beer God’s for sending this new concepted brew to me.

A little background about Jay’s Blacktop Blonde from Tailgate Beer themselves:

“Named after a close friend of TGB “Jay the Tailgate Guy,” Jay’s Blacktop Blonde is the ultimate homage. It is our way to say, we see you out there on the blacktop and we know you’re thirsty. This is why you deserve a 100% natural craft beer brewed with the same stuff cavemen used thousands of years ago.”

Ok, so without further ado I give you Jay’s Blacktop Blonde:

The beer had been cooling off in my fridge for the past 3 day’s after it’s long flight from Sunny Socal, getting to the right temperature for me to consume and taste.  Popping this new brew open and into my pint glass, it pours out a nice frothy head with a balanced golden color, not too light like other blondes but rich looking giving you a sense of good flavor coming your way.  The smell is of a pure blonde that is not watered down, but has all the ingredients without any being left out.  Now to the taste, of which you all have been waiting for.  The taste is just right for a blonde, not too light with a crisp flavor and smooth after taste that doesn’t over stay its welcome.  You really taste the spice, malts and hops when drinking it, an even balance that gives this beer its tributing flavor.

Overall, this beer is highly recommended and is the perfect complement for the summer heat and for the upcoming Football Tailgating Season.  Drink up, my friends!!!
